Final Project: Design Outcome

Upon the completion of the trip, participation in all class lectures and tutorials, presentation of a complete proposal and research data, students are to produce visual design outcomes related to their interpretation of the given theme.

Task:

Utilising the data collected from the research trip, students are to produce visual design outcomes that reflect their interpretation and definition of “Living with Nature”, bearing in mind to consider cultural and aesthetic aspects, balanced with their design knowledge. Various directions and approaches can be engaged in, such as experimental design/art with the use of manual/digital or combination of both media.

The artwork titled - Infused

Flora as natural representation in beauty aspect. However one cannot deny the fact that natural deterioration takes place from time to time, similar to one’s beauty until a certain age; the beauty is fading…… no one could ever control it. The fact that one is trying to conceal their “fading colour of beauty” will never last forever.

Embrace the true natural beauty from now on. Let your natural beauty shines.

Throughout the final assessment, I am able to acquire TGC of discipline specific knowledge as I am able to apply the design theories that I have learnt in my final assessment and understand the cultural practice in Seoul, Korea. Secondly, I am able to achieve thinking and problem solving skills as I can think critically and creatively to produce my final artwork in relation to the theme given. Thirdly, I am able to acquire communication skills as I can communicate well with my teammates to come out with the final idea together and work efficiently.
